It is my pleasure to present to you my very own recipe! Yep, I came up with this but in all honesty, its not that difficult. It is actually inspired by the Cedar Plank BBQ Salmon Dish at Grand Lux. A friend of mine always orders it, and while Grand Lux makes theirs pretty tasty…mine is just as good! It’s really all in the sauce.
I came across this sauce on a busy Saturday at Central Market. Everyone knows Central Market gives out the BEST samples on the weekend so I always try to go at that time. This guy was promoting/sampling his BBQ sauce, a recipe thats came down from his grandmother. It didn’t take much convincing for me to buy this. Who would have thought it would work perfectly on my salmon. I know it’s made in Texas but you may be able to order it. Visit Brothers Sauce’s Facebook page.
2 Atlantic Salmon filets
Your favorite BBQ sauce (should be more tangier than sweet and thick if possible)
Pre-heat your oven to 375. Season salmon filets with salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste. Place on baking sheet and drizzle fillets with a small amount of olive oil. Bake for 10 minutes (you’ll know its done when flaky and pale pink). Pull filets out of the oven and coat with the sauce. Then turn the oven on high-broil. Cook filets under the broiler for about 5 minutes. Then you’re ready to eat!
